10 <br />ATTACHMENT 2 <br />Solid Waste Service District Implementation Plan <br />(Proposed) <br />➢ Direct staff to prepare a report on the district that will be placed in Clerk's office prior to <br />the Public Hearings. The report must include the following: <br />1. A map of the proposed district, showing its proposed boundaries; <br />2. A statement showing that the proposed district meets the standards set out in <br />subsection (a); <br />3. A plan for providing one or more of the services listed in G.S. 153A -301 to the <br />district; and <br />4. Other information as directed by the Board of Commissioners. <br />Date Report due to be placed in Clerk's office — February 14, 2014 <br />➢ Set Public Hearing date(s) no sooner than March 17, 2014 <br />BOCC Selects Date(s) of Public Hearing — January 23 <br />➢ Authorize Notice of Public Hearing to be mailed first class prepaid, at least 4 weeks <br />prior to the date of the public hearing, to the "owners as shown by the county tax <br />records as of the preceding January 1 (and at the address shown thereon) of all <br />property located within the proposed district." The preceding January i is the January 1 <br />prior to the public hearing. The commissioners designate who handles the mailing The <br />Notice of Public Hearing must be published at least one week prior to the public <br />hearing.
