Ltembe ra present were: Collier Cobb, Jr., Chairman, H. G. Larvs <br />and Sim L. Efland, Commissioners. <br />The minutes of the Jenu¢ry meeting crere reed and approve d. <br />Several groups apps ared before the Boerd and spoke with reference to various roe <br />petitions that had been nr esented but on which no action hed been telcen. <br />The Boerd promised to inspect these roads and act on the petitions in the <br />near future. <br />Upon motion of-Commissioner Laws, seconded by Commissioner Efland, the <br />fell owing changes in Aid to Blind cases crere approved: <br />Minnie Terrell increased from 523.00 per month to 527.00 per month <br />Julia Fisher increased from 510.00 per month to 518.DD per month <br />Charlie Vlhito decre¢sed from 5)?8.00 per month to 529.00 per month <br />The Grant of Lizzie Vrhite rr¢s approved for x28.00 per month. <br />61x. Sydney Green, Chairman of the Confedarete Library Boerd, epee ared and <br />stated that the furnace at the Hillsboro Librerg hed burned out, and~thet the <br />cost of repairs amounted to 5700.00. He stated that the Librarg did not have <br />the necessary funds to nay this b111 and asked that the County pay §>450.00 on <br />the same. <br />The Board edvi sad 1dr. Green to get in touch eri th the Board of Education <br />and the Tovm of Hillsboro end sae if they would help in this emergency. <br />A delegation from Chanel Hill, heeded by Air. Paul P1. l'lager, apps ared and <br />asked that the Corunissioners support e 1oc e1 act that rro uld permit the zoning <br />of highcrays in Orange County. They were mainly interested in the type of house: <br />to ba built along the proposed Chapel Hill-Durham 3ouleverd. No action was <br />taken. <br />VJhe re ¢s, the State Highway and Public l7orks Commission has filed with the <br />Board of Commissioners of the County of Orange, a man designated es road R6, <br />Clyde Vla lker Roed, shovri ng a prooosed reloc ¢ti on of e section of County road; <br />and vrhe rasa, it eppe¢rs that this relocation is for the best Interest of the roe <br />system of the said County; <br />Now, Therefore, upon motion of Commissioner Efland, seconded by Commissions <br />Leers, the proposed change and relocation es shoem on said man ie hereby approve <br />and retifie d. <br />IIpon motion of Commissioner Laws, duly seconded by Commissioner Efland, <br />Ire A.
