The Town of Cary has 1,422 <br /> residents in the portion of Chatham County within the MPO. The City of Raleigh has 1,067 residents in Durham <br /> County within the MPO. These residents are not included in the county population figures above. The Town of <br /> Cary and City of Raleigh are both members of the NC Capital Area MPO. <br /> Coordinating an update to the MPO's MOU is a complex and time-consuming task as it requires <br /> agreement and execution by the governing boards of all of the MPO's member governments. The MPO <br /> appreciates your organization's review of the document over the summer. The MPO Board fully <br /> considered these comments and made adjustments to the document when appropriate and practical. <br /> See the enclosed table for an explanation of the MPO's response to these comments. We are hopeful <br /> that the recommended MOU can be quickly approved by all of our members. We request that you <br /> approve the MOU by February 20, 2014. <br /> MPO staff members are available to meet and discuss this document with Orange County and can assist <br /> with any necessary presentation of the document to staff or governing boards.
