been suspended for 42 children of people in the Work Force activities. This has been done <br /> with the understanding that child care will be re-instated as soon as the program comes back. <br /> She said there was a stop work order for the Adolescent Parenting Program, and this is <br /> being examined. She said there are 44 parenting teens in the two school systems, and the <br /> goal is to insure that these teens finish school, delay pregnancy and become good parents. <br /> She said the purpose of tonight is just to inform the Board of the risks being taken. <br /> Chair Jacobs said the Board appropriated monies for the social justice safety net fund. <br /> He said the Board has made a commitment to keep programs going for those that most need <br /> help. <br /> He requested a status report at the next meeting in order to make some priority <br /> decisions. <br /> Michael Talbert said this budget was $250,000, and those funds are available if <br /> needed. <br /> Chair Jacobs said there was an item in the budget amendment about maintaining <br /> section 8 housing. He recommended a press release about the things that are happening to <br /> people in Orange County. He said attention needs to be given to what is going on. <br /> 10.
