,2a /3� <br /> • ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> RESOLUTION OF COMMITMENT TO FUTURE FUNDING FOR SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE <br /> TO BENEFIT THE HISTORIC ROGERS ROAD-EUBANKS NEIGHBORHOOD <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners commissioned the Historic Rogers Road <br /> Neighborhood Task Force ("Task Force") in February 2012 to meet for six months with the <br /> charge of investigating the financing of a community center and sewer services to the <br /> neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Task Force submitted a final report in December 2012 that helped resolve the <br /> community center charge and requested an additional six months to discuss the provision of <br /> sewer services to the neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners has demonstrated its commitment to remedial <br /> measures in the Rogers Road community by taking the lead in allocating funding for the <br /> community center; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners is encouraged by and wants to support the Task <br /> Force's commitment to providing sewer services to the neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Task Force has resolved that the Carrboro Board of Aldermen, the Chapel Hill <br /> Town Council, and the Orange County Board of Commissioners should review and discuss two <br /> alternate plans for providing sewer services to the neighborhood; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Commissioners does not have time to fully discuss the merits of the <br /> various plans before its annual recess, but believes that the continuing Task Force discussions <br /> in the meantime will benefit from the guidance of this resolution; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Commissioners does hereby intend, <br /> pursuant to the final plans, timeline and cost sharing formulas to be determined, to provide <br /> funding for the construction of sewer infrastructure to benefit the residents of the Historic Rogers <br /> Road Neighborhood. <br /> This the 18th day of June, 2013. <br />
