Orange County NC Website
the public can see their work and their website information.
The directory will be available at visitor centers, hotels, B&Bs, etc. as well as on our
website year-round. It will be a vital promotional instrument for the guild and an
important resource for art lovers and collectors from Orange County and beyond
which expands the opportunities offered to them to explore and enjoy the wealth of
Orange County's rich art culture at any time of the year
OCAG is committed to conserving resources. The directory will be printed on paper
from responsible resources putting less strain on our environment. To offset
expenses, the directory will have additional space for local advertisers to purchase
and place ads. OCAG plans to print 10,000 copies with distribution beginning in
February 2014. To keep the information current, it will be updated each spring as
new artists join the guild and updated copies will be made available throughout the
year. Along with mailing some of the directories, members of the guild will work
together to distribute them in the Triangle area and other key locations throughout
the state.
The Orange County Artists Guild depends on support from member fees and
donations from the community. Additional support from the Orange County Arts
Commission would help assure that this project is successful. Creation of the year-
round directory would support the guild's promotional efforts by adding an important
additional instrument to OCAG's variety of platforms designed to connect art lovers
locally, state wide and beyond with the great variety of high quality art available in
our area at any time of the year, not just during the November Open Studio Tour.
i
