Residency <br /> in connection with the performance <br /> "Stories and Songs of Latin America" <br /> New Hope Elementary 2"d grade <br /> Artist- Virginia Queen 646.765.4630 vrqueen @gmail.com <br /> Arts Disciplines— Story Telling, Drama, Creative Movement and Dance <br /> Residency Description <br /> In connection with the ArtsCenter's school show, "Stories and Songs of <br /> Latin America" students will experience story telling, drama, movement and <br /> dance while enhancing their creative expression, imagination, presentation <br /> skills, self- esteem and cooperation with others. Through stories, music, <br /> drama activities, and improvisations, students will gain a better.knowledge <br /> of Latin American culture and traditions. The students will be prepared for <br /> the performance while also learning story telling, presentation and drama <br /> fundamentals. The students will also experience dramatizing the Latin <br /> American folktale "Paco and the Witch, " and dancing to the Mexican <br /> American favorite, "La Bamba.
