Closed Session <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> adjourn into closed session at 10:56 PM for the purposes below: <br /> "To discuss the County's position and to instruct the County Manager and County Attorney on <br /> the negotiating position regarding the terms of a contract to purchase real property," NCGS § <br /> 143-318.11(a)(5). <br /> "To discuss and take action regarding plans to protect public safety as it relates to existing or <br /> potential terrorist activity and to receive briefings by staff members, legal counsel, or law <br /> enforcement or emergency service officials concerning actions taken or to be taken to respond <br /> to such activity." [N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(9)] <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon seconded by Commissioner McKee to <br /> reconvene into regular session at 11:45pm. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 15.
