3 <br /> State, and to increase efficiency through scanning and other technology <br /> devices. <br /> • Eat Smart Move More Grant — receipt of $5,500 from the NC Physical <br /> Activity and Nutrition Branch of the NC Division of Public Health. These funds <br /> will be used to support and promote multi-level physical activity and healthy <br /> eating intervention efforts in the County. <br /> • Healthy Communities Program — receipt of $9,640 from the NC Division of <br /> Public Health to help address physical inactivity, poor nutrition, tobacco use, <br /> and other risk factors that contribute to a poor quality of health. These funds <br /> will be used to provide additional advertising and outreach in the community <br /> to promote healthy eating, prevent tobacco use, and increase physical <br /> activity. <br /> • Refugee Health Program — receipt of $2,000 from the NC Division of Public <br /> Health. These funds will be used to provide additional interpreter coverage <br /> needed during health assessments for program participants. <br /> • Susan G. Komen Grant — receipt of a Susan G. Komen for the Cure grant <br /> award totaling $61,113. In partnership with Piedmont Health Services, the <br /> department will be able to expand breast cancer screening access and <br /> diagnostic testing to eligible clients in order to increase early detection and <br /> treatment of breast cancer. The grant period is from April 1, 2013 to March <br /> 31, 2014. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of$30,556 for use <br /> in the current fiscal year, and the department will budget the remaining <br /> amount of$30,557 as part of its FY 2013-14 budget request. <br /> This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these additional funds. (See <br /> Attachment, column 6) <br /> School Capital Project Ordinance <br /> 7. The FY 2012-13 Approved Budget included $760,000 in the Article 46 Sales Tax <br /> Fund for Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools (CHCCS), but budgeted funds were not <br /> allocated to specific projects. The CHCCS Board of Education has approved the <br /> use of $380,000 to address structural analysis and design improvements needed at <br /> Culbreth Middle School and Chapel Hill High School, as identified in the district's <br /> recently completed Facilities Assessment. This budget amendment amends the <br /> following Schools Capital Project Ordinance for use of these allocated funds: <br /> Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools ($380,000): <br /> Classroom/Academic Improvements ($380,000) Project#53025 <br /> Revenues for this project: <br /> Through FY FY 2012-13 FY 2012-13 <br /> 2012-13 Amendment Revised <br /> From General Fund $686,352 $0 $686,352_ <br /> Article 46 Sales Tax $0 $380,000 $380,000 <br /> Total Project Funding $686,352 1 $380,000 $1,066,352 <br />
