We understand <br /> that the project generally consists of the construction of approximately 2,500 linear feet of <br /> roadway extending east from Ben Wilson Road, parallel to Interstate 85. We further understand <br /> that the project will be constructed by NCDOT upon permitting approval. <br /> We anticipate providing the following Scope of Services: <br /> Design and Permitting Phase <br /> hase <br /> • Meet with the Owner, NCDOT and all relevant parties to fully determine scope and <br /> requirements for the project. <br /> • Prepare preliminary route map of approximately 2,500 feet of roadway extending east <br /> from Ben Wilson Road for approval by the County and NCDOT. <br /> • Participate in a Public Information Workshop with NCDOT and the Owner as necessary. <br /> • Prepare permit drawings for any stream crossings or wetland impacts for submittal to <br /> U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) and N.C. Department of Water Quality <br /> (NCDWQ) for 404/401 permitting. It is anticipated that the total stream disturbance will <br /> be less than 300 feet and wetland disturbance will be less than 0.5 acre, therefore the <br /> 404/401 permitting will fall under a Nationwide Permit (NWP). Should the total stream <br /> disturbance exceed 300 feet and/or wetland disturbance exceed 0.5 acre, then an <br /> individual permit will need to be submitted, which has not been included in this scope of <br /> work.
