It is also anticipated that there will be no stream or wetland disturbance on the project site beyond that of road and utility construction. • It is anticipated that any stream crossings will be constructed utilizing standard size concrete pipe or box culverts and therefore, bridge and/or structural design has not been included in this scope of work. • Prepare construction drawings per NCDOT standards for approximately 2,500 feet of 2 lane asphalt roadway designed to rural roadway standards, assumed 35 mph design speed. The design will include realignment of Ben Wilson Road at the intersection of the new roadway,into a"T"intersection for site visibility. • Construction plans will include demolition, layout, grading, drainage, sediment and erosion control and construction details. • Review construction plans with NCDOT and make revisions as necessary. • Prepare sediment and soil erosion permit applications for submittal to N.C. Department of Environment and Natural Resources (NCDENR)for approval. BASIS OF COMPENSATION We anticipate performing the scope of services outlined above for a lump sum fee of $75,000. Payment shall be made monthly as work progresses. The above fee does not include the following additional services. Should these services be needed, we will furnish or obtain from others additional services of the following types, which are not considered Basic Services under this proposal, and will be completed in accordance with our regular fee schedule,upon your authorization. • Additional services resulting from significant changes in general scope of the Project or its design including, but not limited to, changes in size, complexity, OWNER's schedule, or character of construction. • This scope of service assumes that the project will not be competitively bid, but will be constructed by NCDOT forces. • This scope of service does not include construction administration or observation services. • The scope of services does not include a Traffic Impact Analysis. Should one be required we can coordinate with a traffic consultant to provide one as additional services.
