44C <br /> 1 <br /> MINUTES <br /> BUDGET WORK SESSION <br /> June 1, 1983 <br /> The Orange County Board of Commissioners met in special session with the <br /> Department of Social Services and the Health Department on Wednesday, June 1, <br /> 1983, at 7: 30 P.M. in the Commissioners ' Room of the Orange County Courthouse, <br /> Hillsborough, North Carolina. <br /> Commissioners Present: Richard E. Whitted, Chair , and Commissioners Ben <br /> Lloyd, Shirley E. Marshall, Norman Walker , and Don Willhoit. <br /> Mr. Thomas M. Ward, Director of the Department of Social Services, made the <br /> following budget requests: <br /> a. Another protective service worker - $14,040 <br /> b. More travel funds <br /> c. Day Care Addition - $40,000 <br /> d. Pamphlets from Interfaith Council - $200 <br /> Mr . Jerry Robinson, Health Director , made the following budget requests: <br /> a. Dental Assistant - $9,000 or $6,000 <br /> b. Half-time Health Educator - $6,635 <br /> c. Office Supplies - $1,000 <br /> With no further business to come before them, the Commissioners adjourned. <br /> Richard E. Whitted, Chair <br /> APPROVED 2/6/84 <br />
