4. BOARD OF EQUALIZATION AND REVIEW <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Willhoit, seconded by Commissioner Marshall, to <br /> set the first meeting of the E & R Board for Monday, May 1, 1989 at 7:25 p.m. for the <br /> purpose of administering the oath of office; to set the second meeting of the E & R <br /> Board for May 16 at 4:00 p.m. , in the Southern Human Service Building in Chapel Hill, <br /> and to set the final meeting for June 5, 1989 at 7:25 p.m. for the purpose of approving <br /> the minutes and adjourning. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> H. APPOINTMENTS <br /> The following appointments were approved by the Board: <br /> ARTS COMMISSION - reappointment of Joan Cohen, Edna H. Gambling, Jeanne Phillips <br /> and Vivian Walker to three year terms; reappointment of Linda Smith Fields to a one year <br /> term, and extension of terms for Roland Buchanan, Rebecca Carnes, Elon Eidenier and <br /> Edgar Marston to February, 1990. <br /> HUMAN RELATIONS COMMISSION - Dennis Bonesteel and Tony Thorton were appointed as <br /> Hillsborough representatives. These terms will end November, 1992. <br /> I. ADJOURNMENT <br /> With no further items to come before the Board, Chairman Moses Carey, Jr. adjourned <br /> the meeting. The next regular meeting of the Board will be held at 7:30 p.m. on April <br /> 18, 1989 in the Courtroom of the old Post Office, Chapel Hill, North Carolina. <br /> Moses Carey, Jr. , Chair <br /> Beverly A.
