SUPPLEMENTAL GENERAL ASSISTANCE FUNDS REQUEST <br /> Chair Willhoit recognized Reverend Richard Hildebrandt. He <br /> spoke on behalf of the OCIM, Inter Faith Council and JOCCA. He <br /> noted that since January 1, 1986, OCIM had spent $16, 000, IFC <br /> had spent $18, 000 and JOCCA had spent $3 ,200 for emergency <br /> assistance for Orange County citizens. He emphasized that the <br /> money is depleted for emergency relief. He requested that <br /> $10, 000 in General Assistance funds be added as a supplemental <br /> appropriation for FY 85-86 and suggested it be administered by <br /> the Department of Social Services. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Carey to approve an appropriation of $10, 000 with <br /> $4, 000 to be used in the Hillsborough office and $6, 000 in the <br /> Chapel Hill office to help with general assistance and <br /> emergency aid for May and June. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 7. PROPOSED ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENTS (CONTINUED) <br /> Susan Smith presented the proposed amendments to Article 4 <br /> Section 4 . 3 and Article 22 relating to packaging and assembly <br /> operwith the Planning Board recommendations for revisions. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Marshall to approve the Planning Board <br /> recommendation for amendment of Article 4, Section 4. 3 . <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Marshall, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Carey to approve the Planning Board <br /> recommendation for amendment of Article 22 . <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> Susan Smith made reference to the proposed amendment to <br /> Article 8 Section 8 . 8 . 27 relating to provisions for the <br /> issuance of a special use permit for assembly and packaging <br /> operations in LC-1 and NC 2 zoning districts. She informed <br /> the Board that the Planning Board directed the Ordinance <br /> Review committee to reconsider the special use provision for <br /> such operations. <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by <br /> Commissioner Marshall to table the proposed amendment for <br /> Article 4, Section 4 .3 . <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 5.
