0000346 <br /> abandonedi and designated on said plat as "Old Cedar Grove Road"; and whereas <br /> said "Old Cedar Grove Road" as shown on said plat runs along the border of <br /> said property of the undersigned; and whereas said abandoned road is no longer <br /> used for vehicular traffic or for other purposes; that to permanently close <br /> that portion of "Old Cedar Grove Road" more particularly described hereinafter <br /> would not be contrary to the public interest, and that no person, firm, <br /> corporation or individual owning property in the vicinity of said "Old Cedar <br /> Grove Road" would be deprived of a reasonable means of ingress and egress to <br /> his property by the closing of such portion of said road; that it is to the <br /> best interest of the Petitioner and the general public that said abandoned <br /> road be closed and that the petitioner herein is the only owner of any <br /> property abutting said road; <br /> WHEREFORE, the undersigned respectfully requests that the Orange <br /> County Board of Commissioners adopt a resolution closing that part of the said <br /> abandoned road as hereinafter described permanently, pursuant to North <br /> Carolina General Statutes Section 153A-241 and 160A-299. That portion of the <br /> said abandoned road that the undersigned desires to be closed is more <br /> particularly described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at an iron stake located in the center of the right of way to <br /> Dixie Drive at the point where the center of said right of way intersects <br /> the western line of property of Orange County; running thence with the <br /> western property line of Orange County the following courses and <br /> distances: North 28 53' 21" West 156.05 feet; North 22 17' 16" West <br /> 122.70 feet; North 8 21' 16" West 109.73 feet and North 27 31' 00" West <br /> 94.46 feet. <br /> Also that portion of said road described as follows: <br /> BEGINNING at the southwest corner of Lot #1 of Block B of Highland Woods <br /> as shown on plat recorded in Plat Book 15, Page 178, Orange County <br /> Registry; running thence North 33 17' 38" West 299.74 feet to an iron <br /> stake; running thence North 13 24' 04" West 635.02 feet to an iron stake <br /> running thence North 04 57 19" West 82.53 feet. <br /> Respectfully submitted, this the 21st day of November, 1985 and signed <br /> Robert Scholar and Rachel Scholar. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS. <br /> 10 PD REZONING EXTENSION - WEST TEN MOBILE HOME PARK <br /> Postponed. <br /> ADDED ITEM <br /> EXECUTIVE SESSION <br /> Motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner <br /> Marshall to adjourn into executive session to consider a litigation matter. <br /> VM: UNANIMOUS. <br /> ADJOURNMENT <br /> Chair Willhoit adjourned the meeting.
