They <br /> are given below. <br /> Charge to the Committee <br /> Purpose <br /> Make recommendations to the Board of Commissioners <br /> concerning elements and size of the proposed November 1997 bond <br /> referendum for schools and county projects. Include the steps given <br /> below. <br /> I. Schools <br /> A. Review the needs for new schools in the 10 year Capital <br /> Improvements Plan (CIP), as identified by the Orange County and <br /> Chapel HW-Carrboro City Schools <br /> B. Familiarize itself with the current long-range school capital <br /> funding plan approved by the Board of Commissioners at the October <br /> 15, 1996 meeting <br /> C. Confirm the need for,and timing of, new school construction <br /> Projects, considering current and projected student populations <br /> 11. County Projects <br /> A. Review the capital needs recommended by the Manager for <br /> the 1997-2007 CIP and follow any priorities identified by the Board <br /> of Commissioners <br /> B. Identify the need for and the timing of county capital <br /> projects, including those for parks and recreation <br />
