He said the plan would be to sell these <br /> 39 properties and return to the money to the tax roll to build new stations nearby. He said the <br /> 40 other option is to enter a public/private partnership to co-locate a station in a commercial <br /> 41 development on the same property. This second option would be modeled after 140 West on <br /> 42 Franklin Street. <br /> 43 He said Chapel Hill received authorization from the State Legislature to expand the area <br /> 44 to facilitate co-location within the entire city limits. He said EMS is open to including the County <br /> 45 in any project that might be appropriate for an EMS station. <br /> 46 He said the only reason the town cannot work something out now is because the space <br /> 47 in all fire stations is maxed out, and many trucks have to park outside. <br /> 48 Commissioner Rich asked for more information about the training station at the <br /> 49 intersection of MLK Boulevard and Weaver Dairy Road. She asked if this is still being used for <br /> 50 live burns and rescue practice. <br />
