Program: This grant will provide support for the Donation Station program—to create a matching fund for Farm to Pantry food purchases. Our Donation Stations at farmers markets serve our most urgent and direct needs—where we connect local farm food from all the Orange Purpose: The agencies that serve the hungry work hard to provide healthy food for their clients. However,most of the food that they provide is canned or shelf-stable.This food often is high in sodium,sugar or other additives and is insufficient by itself as a full meal.Farmer Foodshare works in deep collaboration with our social service agency clients to ensure that they can provide a regular supply of local farm fresh food to their end users.With the help of manna nntinty wa will nrnvirla n matrhinn fiend to hiinnar raliaf nnanriac in nranna O Outcomes: Farmer Foodshare's Farm to Pantry efforts will help strengthen the health of local residents, particularly people facing diet-related diseases,such as obesity,diabetes and heart disease through increased access to fresh food.We will measure this through the number of meals supplemented with fresh food,the economic impact on the local economy through local buying,and the personal stories of change and impact from fresh food.
