25 <br />1. Environmental and Agricultural Building <br />This building, currently serving as an office and records storage building, was originally <br />constructed as a grocery store. The building superstructure is not typical of office <br />space property within Orange County. <br />2. Emergency Services Center <br />This building was originally constructed as the Tweeter Audio /Video headquarters, <br />housing some offices, retail merchandise and distribution center, and installation and <br />service center. <br />3. Public Defender Office <br />This facility was originally constructed as a residence and later expanded to <br />include space for a retail furniture store. The construction is typical of a single family <br />residential (timber stick built) in the front portion, and warehouse type block construction <br />in the rear. The building was renovated in 2001 to create office space for the Purchasing <br />and Central Services Department, and again in 2009 to house Public Defender staff. The <br />building superstructure is not typical of office space property within Orange County. <br />4. Whitted Human Services Center <br />The facility was originally constructed as a school building with a dining hall and large <br />classroom spaces. The load bearing block c o n s t r u c t i o n of t h i s f a c i l i t y <br />typically does not lend itself w e l l to interior modifications and changes in layout. <br />Code compliance evaluation services were not included within the approved scope of <br />work and are not accounted for within this report. <br />-14- <br />
