Informal Resident Advisory Work Group <br />Cedar Grove Community Center <br />August 27, 2013 <br />Page 7of7 <br />M <br />Members of the Informal Resident Advisory Work Group requested that it be noted <br />that they felt like this would be the best option in the long term for the community. <br />■ Option C <br />• The Informal Resident Advisory Work Group members stated that the removal of the <br />wings was not an option that they wanted to consider, so Option C was not a feasible <br />option. <br />• After much discussion, members of the Informal Resident Advisory Work Group <br />decided not to proceed with the Option "C ". <br />■ Option Al <br />After much discussion, members of the Informal Resident Advisory Work Group voted <br />unanimously to proceed with Option Al. <br />• The Architect will proceed with the development of Option "Al" for the next meeting. <br />o The following items need to be included or investigated as part of the development of Option "Al" <br />• The stage should have a cushioned floor system <br />• The Multi- Purpose Room should have an athletic floor system similar the Orange County Senior <br />Center <br />• The building should be provided with wireless internet access throughout <br />• The ability to use spaces within the "mothballed" wings for storage <br />• The entire building will be handicapped accessible <br />• Incorporate the existing secondary entrance at the front of the school into the office space for <br />the Parks and Recreation Department to increase the size and provide access directly from the <br />exterior of the building. It was stated that the Parks and Recreation office and storage could be <br />within one space as that is what was happening presently. <br />• Commissioner Price stated that she would like to see the Conference Room become part of the <br />Park and Recreation area. <br />• The Architects will have revised and further developed sketches incorporating the elements discussed above for <br />review at the next meeting. <br />• The "memorial aspect of the project was not discussed at this meeting <br />o As stated previously, Peter Sandbeck is working with a sub - committee on ideas for this memorial. <br />Minutes Recorded By: <br />Pierre Henwood <br />Date: 8/27/2013 <br />This report is the writer's understanding of the major topics and conclusions of the meeting.
