d. Notice Requirements <br />Legal advertisements were published in accordance with the provisions of the <br />UDO. <br />e. Outreach: <br />❑ General Public: <br />❑ Small Area Plan Workgroup: <br />® Other: Letter /e -mail sent to various County agencies (i.e. DEAPR, Asset <br />Management, Solid Waste, etc.) and other local entities (i.e. local <br />volunteer fire departments and rescue squads) potentially impacted <br />by the proposal outlining the amendment and soliciting comments for <br />inclusion within the QPH package. <br />An e -mail was sent to various County Departments on June 24, 2013 <br />requested review of the proposed amendment(s). <br />Responses from DEAPR and Solid Waste expressed concern over a <br />potential duplication of efforts as there is typically significant public <br />outreach on various projects (i.e. parks, solid waste convenience <br />centers, etc.) Staff added language to the proposed amendment <br />address this concern by eliminating the neighborhood information <br />meeting requirement in those instances where the project was part of <br />a `previous planning effort' that included public outreach and review <br />of a proposed development. <br />An e -mail was sent on August 5, 2013 to all local volunteer fire chiefs <br />as well as public safety agencies throughout the County (i.e. Sheriff, <br />Town of Chapel Hill Police /Fire, Town of Carrboro Police /Fire, Town <br />of Hillsborough Police /Fire, etc.) requesting comments on the <br />proposed amendment. <br />To date no comments have been received. <br />3. FISCAL IMPACT <br />Coordination and attendance at the information meeting by staff shall be handled <br />within existing budgetary outlays. The cost associated with the notification of the <br />information meeting shall be borne by the applicant. <br />Additional budgetary outlays to cover the costs of a mailing will be required by any <br />County department or applicable agency (i.e. volunteer fire department) proposing a <br />governmental land use. <br />D.
