Bell responded that the Town of Hillsborough is pursing the western <br /> bypass.Coming into Hillsborough on north 86,there is to be a diagonal connection <br /> between 86 and 70 to tie in with the new 70 connector at 85. Once this is completed, <br /> truck traffic will be routed to this bypass. Strayhorn expressed concern with the traffic <br /> tie-up in Hillsborough traffic in the afternoons noting that a new road desperately needed <br /> to be built. Bell responded that there had been a lot of opposition to an eastern bypass <br /> over the years.
