49 <br /> Orange County Welfare Reform Task Force <br /> Outreach Committee <br /> Charge: Develop recommendations on an acceptable safety-net level of services for the <br /> Children and Families, Older Adults and Outcomes subcommittees by getting <br /> input from focus groups of clients. <br /> (Due to time constraints and procedural limitations, the committee was not able <br /> to obtain input from clients. It is suggested that input be obtained from <br /> both client and non-client individuals as any system changes may potentially impact all <br /> citizens <br /> ♦ To obtain information through the use of surveys and focus groups Surveys can be <br /> used as a supplement to focus group discussions or alone,and made available in <br /> various agencies throughout the county. The surveys will provide demographic <br /> information about the groups and verify diversity. Focus groups will promote further <br /> dialogue and an exchange of ideas. The committee has developed a sample survey and <br /> focus group questions,and identified potential focus groups to convene. <br /> (See Attachments I,H&III). <br />
