47 <br /> Guidelines to oDeradonalize the vision and mission statements <br /> Vision Statement and Guidelines <br /> Based on our community values of caring, respect, diversity, economic <br /> opportunity, the enhancement of self-worth and optimal health and safety, all citizens <br /> of Orange County should contribute to and participate in the well-being of the <br /> community to the extent we are able. <br /> 1. Agencies involve staff, program participants, and community at large in planning <br /> and evaluating services. <br /> 2. Orange County provides a continuum of work opportunities to meet the economic <br /> self-sufficiency needs as well as the abilities, skills and interest of all citizens. <br /> 3. Agencies effectively integrate volunteers into the human service system.- <br /> Mission Statement and Guidelines <br /> Orange County will use a coordinated, efficient, and effective network of resources <br /> that will provide a continuum of preventive and corrective services appropriate to <br /> promote economic, emotional, physical, and social well-being for all citizens. <br /> 1. Orange County provides essential elements of well-being not otherwise accessible <br /> to citizens through the private, nonprofit or public sectors. <br /> 2. Clients have one major case manager who coordinates an appropriate and flexible <br /> delivery of services across agencies. <br /> 3. Funding priority is given to agencies that collaborate to deliver services. <br /> 4. Funding priority is given to agencies that use comprehensive strategies for <br /> addressing the total needs of an individual or family. <br /> 5. Investments in human services should demonstrate activities that contribute to self- <br /> sufficiency. <br /> Essential Services <br /> Outcomes and/or recommendations should fall into the following three areas of <br /> essential services: self-sufficiency, safety and personal development. <br /> Self Sufficiency Safety Persona Development <br /> Adequate income/job Education/training <br /> Food Meaningful work <br /> Housing Participation in decision making <br /> Clothing <br /> Medical care <br /> Child care if needed <br /> Trans ortation <br />
