24
f,Jy 30, 194
Aq. #2
I Minimal environmental damage to the Bolin Creek stream and basin can be
achieved with a properly designed bridge crossing; one that is aesthetically
attractive and respective of human and wildlife movement through the Bolin
Creek corridor. Far greater adverse impact on the stream and basin is
occurring and will .continue to occur from human use and development
parallel to its flow; not from occasional and necessary perpendicular
crossings.
A well designed bridge crossing will accommodate not only motorized
vehicles, but also non-motorized vehicles and pedestrian traffic.
For the above reasons we ask that the Board request that a right of way and road be
inserted in the UNC Master Plan for the Horace Williams Tract in order that we not lose
the option for a future link to the north and its economic potential for Carrboro's urban
development
