AMENDMENT TO INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT BETWEEN ORANGE COUNTY <br /> AND THE TOWN OF CHAPEL HILL REGARDING <br /> CHAPEL HILL'S USE OF THE SOUTHERN HUMAN SERVICES CENTER <br /> THIS AMENDMENT TO THE AGREEMENT, made and entered into this 2y day of <br /> 20.0 between the Town of Chapel Hill, North Carolina, a North Carolina <br /> municipal corporation, of Orange County, North Carolina (hereinafter referred to as the "Town"); <br /> and Orange County, a body politic and political subdivision of the State of North Carolina <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the "County"), each of which may be referred to as "Party" or <br /> "Parties", for the temporary use by the Town's governing council of the Southern Human <br /> Services Center (hereinafter referred to as the "Center"). <br /> WITNESSETH <br /> WHEREAS, the County and Town are public bodies, politic and corporate, under the <br /> laws of the State of North Carolina and are vested with the power and authority by Article 20 of <br /> North Carolina General Statutes Chapter 160A to enter into this Interlocal Agreement <br /> (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"); and <br /> WHEREAS, due to flood damage the Town is in need of meeting space for hosting its <br /> regular council meetings; and <br /> WHEREAS, the County owns and operates the Center affording services to all residents <br /> of Orange County, which Center has meeting space sufficient for the Town's meeting needs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing and on mutual promises and <br /> obligations set forth herein, the receipt and sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, the <br /> parties agree to amend their Agreement referenced above as follows: <br /> 1. TERM <br /> a. This Agreement shall be amended to continue through June 30, 2014. <br /> b. This Agreement may be renewed beyond June 30, 2014 upon written <br /> agreement of the Parties. t <br /> 2. Paragraph 3b .COUNTY RESPONSIBILITIES is revised by adding the <br /> following: <br /> January 2014 <br /> •M-13, Council Business Meeting, 7 p.m. <br /> •W-22, Council Public Hearing, 7 p.m.' <br /> •M-27, Council Business Meeting, 7 p.m. <br />
