3 <br /> 3. Other supportive expenses provided by the Hospital include: Office space; parking <br /> space; office equipment; clerical support; and telephone service as required to adequately <br /> support the services provided by this agreement. The Hospital also agrees to pay a <br /> processing fee of$2.00 for each "out of Orange County" case processed. <br /> 4. The Social Worker I shall receive,process and certify or deny applications for <br /> financial assistance under programs administered by OCDSS and originating in the <br /> Hospital OB/GYN Clinic. This worker shall be assisted by the Hospital staff in obtaining <br /> needed information on active cases eligible under the Department of Social Services <br /> Programs. Assignment of work to this Social Worker I will be the responsibility of a <br /> designated Hospital staff member. <br /> 5. The Social Services Social Worker I shall work cooperatively with the Hospital <br /> staff and the social work staff of any county Department of Social Services to make <br /> appropriate referrals of patients and family members with problems not related to <br /> eligibility determinations. <br /> 6. As an employee of Orange County, the Social Worker I shall be directly supervised <br /> by and accountable to the Orange County Department of Social Services. Due to the <br /> nature of this agreement and the working relationship with the Hospital, it is necessary <br /> that close contact be kept with the Hospital administration and certain members of the <br /> Hospital medical staff. In recognition of this factor, the Director of Fiscal Services of the <br /> Hospital shall name a staff member to act as liaison between the Social Worker I, the <br /> departments of the hospital and other staff personnel. Changes in duties and/or basis of <br /> financial participation may be made after prior written approval and agreement between <br /> the Hospital, the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Orange County <br />
