2 <br /> AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> THE UNIVERSITY OF NORTH CAROLINA HOSPITALS <br /> AND <br /> ORANGE COUNTY,NORTH CAROLINA <br /> THIS AGREEMENT, made and entered into this the 1 st day of July, 1996,by and <br /> between Orange County (hereinafter referred to as the COUNTY) and the University of <br /> North Carolina Hospitals, (hereinafter referred to as the Hospital) Orange County,North <br /> Carolina. <br /> WITNESSETH: <br /> WHEREAS, the Hospital has agreed to pay certain compensation for said service and <br /> the parties desire to execute this contract to delineate their understanding of their <br /> agreement; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE, the parties hereby agree as follows: <br /> 1. Orange County agrees to make available to the Hospital the services of one Social <br /> Service Worker I, one day (8 hours)per week at the Department of Obstetrics and <br /> Gynecology Clinic. <br /> 2. The Hospital agrees to reimburse the County within 15 days of receipt of monthly <br /> billings for the salary and benefits involved in maintaining one Social Worker I at the <br /> Hospital. The Hospital also agrees to reimburse the County for 2 percent of the salary <br /> and benefits of a full time supervisor. Salary and benefits for the Social Worker I and <br /> the supervisor include: base salary under State Personnel Regulations; FICA taxes; <br /> county government retirement; paid vacation, sick leave, or other leave under approved <br /> county plan; paid holidays as observed by county;paid petty leave of 14 hours per year; <br /> necessary travel and per diem for job related activities. <br />
