It is located west of and immediately adjacent to the <br /> recently opened southern portion of the existing Eubanks Road landfill. <br /> If approved by the governing boards, the property would allow the <br /> extension of the current buffer to about 300 feet along the western <br /> landfill boundary south of Eubanks Road. <br /> The proposed sale price is $6, 000 per acre. The approximate cost would <br /> be $24, 300 . Funds for this purchase are already available in the Land <br /> Reserve account of the Landfill Fund, administered on behalf of the <br /> LOG by the Town of Chapel Hill. The current balance of the Land <br /> Reserve account is $645, 916 . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board authorize <br /> the purchase of the Wilson property at $6, 000 per acre, or an estimated <br /> cost of $24 . 300 . <br />
