Since that time, the Chapel Hill-Carrboro Board of <br /> Education has modified the scope of this project to include only a transportation center, <br /> eliminating, for the time being, renovations to academic space and the cafeteria area. <br /> Under the rules of the Public School Building Funds, support services space, such as a <br /> transportation center, cannot be financed using Public School Building Funds. County <br /> Staff has notified the State regarding the change in the scope of this project, and <br /> the State Budget Office has released the original application for these funds. <br /> To implement this application, a change in funding source between capital projects is <br /> necessary. The attached capital project ordinances make this technical amendment, <br /> These ordinances allow the Transportation Center to be financed from sales tax <br /> proceeds and meets the State requirements for the Public School Building Fund. <br /> In addition to the funding source change above, the 1995-2000 Capital Improvements <br /> Plan includes $455,462 in Public School Building Funds as part of the financing plan for <br /> McDougle Elementary School. These funds, combined with the $381,190 released from <br />
