Also, to designate the week of May 13 through <br /> 19 as Senior Center Week, a time to recognize our local senior centers as <br /> focal points for providing opportunities and services to our older citizens. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> For a number of years, Orange County Commissioners have issued an <br /> Older Americans Month and Senior Center Week Proclamation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> Manager recommends that the Commissioners designate May as Older <br /> Americans Month and May 13 through 19 as Senior Center Week in <br /> Orange County and authorize Chair to sign proclamations. <br />
