The LOG also requested that each governing <br /> board consider the attached outline for operation of a possible joint <br /> solid waste management agency and possible schedule and process for <br /> creation and implementation of such an agency. <br /> The purpose of the forum, which would be held on April 25, would be to <br /> encourage public discussion and receive comments from the public <br /> regarding: 1) the LOG' s "Outline of the General Principles and <br /> Arrangements Recommended for a Joint Solid Waste Agency" ; 2) a <br /> potential schedule and process for public debate; and 3) creation of a <br /> Joint Solid Waste Management Agency. This will be an excellent <br /> opportunity for the entire Board of Commissioners, as well as the <br /> public, to review the major issues that have been discussed concerning <br /> landfill reorganization. The public forum is scheduled for 7 :30pm on <br /> Thursday, April 25, 1996, at Carrboro Town Hall . <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board authorize <br /> the conduct of the joint public forum. <br />
