If approved by the boards, and pending <br /> successful negotiations with the owners, the property would enhance <br /> existing landfill buffers and would provide additional land for <br /> mulching and recycling operations . <br /> The proposed sale price is $7, 500 per acre. The approximate cost would <br /> be $103 , 500, depending on the results of a survey to determine the <br /> exact size of the property. Funds for this purchase are already <br /> available in the Land Reserve account of the Landfill Fund. The <br /> attached LOG staff memos provide additional details about the proposed <br /> acquisition. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board authorize <br /> the purchase of the Johnson Tract at $7,500 per acre, or an estimated <br /> cost of $103 , 500 . <br />
