2 COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM PROGRESS REPORT EXPENDITURES AND ACCOMPLISHMENTS PROJECT AREA: FY1995 Scattered Site Housing Rehab REPORTING PERIOD: Third Quarter ending March 15, 1996 REPORTING DATE: April 1, 1996 ACCOMPLISHMENTS BUDGET EXPENDITURES Housing Rehabilitation $ 360, 150 $ 0 Administration $ 36, 720 $ 4 , 542 TOTAL $ 396, 870 $ 4, 542 ACCOMPLISHMENTS General Grant Administration This grant was awarded in June 1995 and the Funding Approval and Grant Agreement was executed on August 3 , 1995 . The Funding Approval contained several conditions which needed to be satisfied prior to the release of funds . These included: environmental review clearance; citizen participation complaince; floodplain determination; and assurance that the weatherization funds designated for the project were available. All of these conditions have been met and the official Request for Release of Funds has been forwarded to the N.C. Department of Commerce; Division of Community Assistance . In addition, a Citizen Advisory Committee was established to provide assistance to the staff during grant implementation as well as monitor grant activities. The Citizen Advisory Committee has met twice during this reporting period - December 1995 and March 1996 . Housing Rehabilitation Activities Staff also began determining eligibility of the targeted families . Further, a Rehabilitation Consultant, Construction Control Services, was hired to inspect the targeted dwellings and prepare work specifications. Work specifications have been completed for approximately five (5) houses and bids are being solicited for this work. These units are located at 5945 Craig Rd. ; 216 Hillsborough Ave. ; 181 West Hill Ave. ; and 2909 Hwy 70 East; 2608 St . Mary' s Rd. .
