Funds were allotted in the 1995-96 CIP budget as <br /> well as funding provided by the state for automation for <br /> Orange County' s share of automating the Regional Library <br /> System. <br /> Specifications were developed by Orange County Staff, Person <br /> County Staff, Caswell County Staff as well as the Hyconeechee <br /> Regional Library System .Board of Trustees for a system that <br /> best met the needs of the Regional System. Proposals were <br /> solicited on behalf of the three Counties from seven (7) <br /> firms. Proposals were received from four firms. A tabulation <br /> of the proposals is attached. <br /> Gaylord Information Systems of Knoxville, Tennessee submitted <br /> the lowest responsible proposal. Orange County' s share of <br /> the costs is $75,438.01. A summation sheet of each library' s <br /> first year cost is also attached. The Boards of each of the <br /> three library's must approve their respective part of this bid <br /> award. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: Award the bid to Gaylord Information Systems for Orange <br /> County' s share at a cost of $75,438.01. <br />
