2 <br /> CONTINUATION OF CABLE TELEVISION <br /> (TJCOG CATV) FRANCHISE RENEWAL <br /> SERVICES AGREEMENT <br /> Whereas, Orange Cojmt is responsible for regulation of basic rates and <br /> customer service standards under a franchise with its cable television service <br /> provider as set forth in the Cable Communications Policy Act of 1984 and the <br /> Cable Television Consumer Protection and Competition Act of 1992; and <br /> Whereas,Triangle J Council of Governments (TJCOG) provides technical, <br /> consulting and legal services relating to cable regulation and refranchising to <br /> cities, towns and counties generally within the Triangle J region; and <br /> Whereas, Orange County participated in the TJCOG cable television rate <br /> review and refranchising program during 1995 and desires to continue <br /> participation in 1996; <br /> Now therefore, Orange Co=Magrees to continue its participation in the <br /> TJCOG cable television rate review and refranchising program during calendar <br /> year 1996 and further agrees to pay TJCOG $9.624.00 as its share of the cost of <br /> the program. <br /> Attest: <br /> Clerk <br /> Name: <br /> By: <br /> County Commissioner Chairman/Manager <br /> Date <br />
