$1.6 million in additional funds to be split between the two school systems, based on the <br /> ADM. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner McKee said he feels the comments made about the inevitability of a <br /> tax rate increase are true. He said there will be no way to continue services, even on a <br /> minimal basis, at the current rate. He said he hopes to avoid an ad valorem tax increase this <br /> year. He gave several examples of local residents who are struggling to pay taxes on their <br /> property each year. <br /> Clarence Grier suggested, for simplicity sake, that the amount be raised to $686,587 <br /> to make an even $81 for the (ADM). <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Pelissier <br /> to raise the per pupil allocation (ADM) for each school district to $81.00 <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Clarence Grier said that, with the $81, the amount will be $1,612,548. <br /> Chair Jacobs asked for the amount yielded for each school system and how this <br /> compares to what was requested. <br /> • Tax Rate Decisions <br /> L Ad Valorem Tax <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Price keep <br /> the Ad Valorem tax at 85.8 cents. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Paul Laughton referred to the question regarding money spent on county buildings <br /> and said the total CIP amount is $2.45 million for 4 buildings. He said Whitted accounts for <br /> $1.5 million. <br /> • Fire District Tax Rates <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner Rich to <br /> adopt all the proposed fire district tax rates. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 3. Break (to allow Finance and Administrative Services Staff to formulate Draft <br /> Resolution of Intent to Adopt FY2013-14 Budget) <br /> 4.
