This is found on page 31-32. <br /> Paul Laughton said his sheet lists the administrative assistant for Animal services at <br /> $21,981 for half of the year. <br /> Commissioner Gordon asked why this position is needed and why this number is so <br /> high. <br /> Paul Laughton said the expansion of the spay/neuter program, and the volunteer <br /> program contributed to this need. <br /> Commissioner Gordon noted that the Animal Control Ordinance was not approved. <br /> Chair Jacobs said this is more related to organizing volunteer services. <br /> Chair Jacobs said the position of the Board on a Communications Reserve was to <br /> remove that money from the Public Affairs Office budget. <br /> Frank Clifton suggested the Board leave $10,000 in the Public Affairs office budget. <br /> Chair Jacobs said he would like to see one cent on the property tax for the school <br /> districts, and he suggested this be taken out of OPEB. Frank Clifton said Orange County will <br /> pay the total requested amount of$26,000, and will then be reimbursed by other counties for <br /> all but 40%. He said this means the actual cost to the county will be $10,400. <br /> Chair Jacobs said the PFAP switch from a government related entity to a non-profit <br /> entity was more complicated than anticipated. <br /> Paul Laughton said that this money will only be drawn upon as needed during the <br /> transition. <br /> Frank Clifton said that if the money is not drawn, it will fall back to the county. <br /> Donna Baker noted that the requests totaled $49,400 for additional funding for <br /> outside agencies. <br /> Commissioner Price asked for clarification on the title for the Child Support funding. <br /> Frank Clifton said he believes it should be called a Social Safety Net. <br />
