ORANGE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> A RESOLUTION INITIATING THE EXTENSION OF MAIN WATER LINES TO <br /> THE VICINITY OF THE EUBANKS ROAD LANDFILL <br /> WHEREAS, the governing boards of Carrboro, Chapel Hill, and Orange County have agreed on <br /> a series of community benefits that should be provided to neighborhoods in the vicinity of the <br /> Eubanks Road landfill, and <br /> WHEREAS, one of the agreed upon benefits involves the extension of water lines that would <br /> serve designated properties in the historic Rogers Road neighborhood, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is a reasonable undertaking for the Landfill Enterprise Fund to pay for the <br /> extension of main water lines that could serve the Eubanks Road landfill and related publicly <br /> owned properties, and <br /> WHEREAS, it is the desire and intention of the Orange County Board of Commissioners to <br /> carry out the plans to extend water lines to the historic Rogers Road neighborhood in as <br /> expeditious a manner as possible; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Orange County Board of Commissioners <br /> does hereby authorize the County Manager, County Attorney, and staff to undertake a process <br /> involving its municipal partners and OWASA to design and construct main water lines to the <br /> vicinity of the Eubanks Road landfill. <br /> This, the 3' day of November, 1999. <br />
