25 <br />Animal Control Ordinance <br />Number of <br />Prior <br />Incidents <br />Redemption or Impoundment <br />Privilege Tax <br />Sterilized Animal <br />Redemption or Impoundment <br />Privilege Tax <br />Reproductive Animal <br />0 <br />$25.00 <br />$50.00 <br />1 <br />$50.00 <br />$100.00 <br />2 <br />$100.00 <br />$200.00 <br />3 or more <br />$200.00 <br />$400.00 <br />(2) For reproductive animals with two or more prior incidents $100 of the <br />redemption privilege tax shall be a sterilization deposit, which may be refunded to the owner if <br />they provide to Animal Services proof of sterilization in the form of a veterinarian record within <br />90 days of recover of the animal. <br />(d) In order to defray the costs of administering and enforcing ordinances adopted under <br />this Chapter, and in order to account for the additional costs of locating, responding to <br />and caring for unvaccinated and unlicensed animals found within the County, <br />additional fees shall be assessed as follows if the Owner or Keeper of an animal fails <br />to pay the following fees within the time specified in the Ordinance: <br />Failure to Vaccinate for Rabies (Section 4 -46) $ 200.00 <br />Failure to Wear Rabies Tag (Section 4 -47) $ 50.00 <br />Failure to License (Section 4 -35) $ 200.00 <br />(e) For any stray animal that has been impounded by Animal Services there shall be a <br />microchip fee that shall be determined by the Board of County Commissioners in the <br />Budget Ordinance. <br />(f) Inspection fees, as provided in this Chapter, shall be set by the Board of County <br />Commissioners in the Budget Ordinance. <br />(Ord. of 6 -16 -1987, § V, eff. 1 -1 -1988; Amend. of 12 -2 -1996, eff. 1 -1 -1997; Ord. of 12 -3 -2007, <br />eff. 7 -1 -2008) <br />Sec. 4 -36. - Ordinance. <br />All other Orange County ordinances in conflict with this Ordinance, exeept the <br />Pr-opert w4hin Orange CoufAy are hereby repealed to the extent they conflict with this <br />Ordinance.
