Our concerns are as follows: <br /> 1. Safety <br /> 2. Noise <br /> 3. Roads <br /> 4. Pollution <br /> If Mr. McBroom were to create a landscape recycling center as his request for rezoning states, we <br /> feel that neighborhood safety would be a concern. There are approximately eighty-three houses <br /> on and associated with Sawmill Rd. The majority of these houses area at on.the first half mule.of. <br /> the road west of the McBroom property:- any-ofthese.houses have:children that wait for-and <br /> disembar -the--whoo bus.#Oy. Children wait by the roadside at the end of his/her driveway for <br /> the bus. Can we assure their safety with an increased number of large tonnage trucks traveling at <br /> speeds of 45 mph, which is the posted speed limit. How can we be assured that debris will be <br /> properly secured on these.trucks. <br /> Sawmill Rd. is a quiet residential neighborhood and the noise that would be made by heavy <br /> machinery such as chippers, shredders,bulldozers and large trucks coming and going would no <br /> longer guarantee quiet in places where-people seek it most--the rural countryside: According to <br /> OSHA,the:dBA level for the type of equipment required for a landscape recycling operation <br /> would be above what is considered harmful(100-11OdBA)for those working the equipment, <br /> which in turn would give the residents near by a constant sound equivalent to the sound of a <br />
