This application requires a <br /> legislative zoning decision. The public hearing is completed. All testimony offered in oral and <br /> written form is entered into the record and will be duly considered by the Commission. All <br /> written testimony is on file with the Clerk to the Board of Commissioners. There is no need <br /> for further testimony. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Request That a 10.01-acre tract be rezoned from AR Agricultural-Residential to AS <br /> Agricultural Service. <br /> Location The proposed zoning lot is accessed at 750± Sawmill Road West (Tax Map No. <br /> 2.34..51), approximately 4,600 feet east of NC 86 and 3,000 feet west of Wilkerson Road (SR <br /> 1507). <br /> Existing and Proposed Conditions <br /> Existing: The existing property is a 10.01a lot with access from the south side of Sawmill <br /> Road. The tract currently is fallow cropland. <br /> Zoning: <br /> • The property and all surrounding properties lie within Orange County's jurisdiction-and <br /> are zoned AR(LITTLE-PW) Agricultural-Residential (Little River Protected Yvatershed) <br /> in accordance with the adopted Land Use Element of the Comprehensive Plan. <br />
