The Small Business and Technology Development Center(SBTDC)provides <br /> significant services to local businesses. The commitment is for$10,000 to be paid in two <br /> installments of$5,000 each. The first is to be paid on or about November 15, 1996, and the <br /> second on or about April 15, 1997. This is a continuation of the contract Orange County has had <br /> with SBTDC since 1990. <br /> A new requirement of the contract this year will be for SBTDC to provide technical assistance, <br /> business plan, and loan package preparation assistance to businesses and individuals preparing to <br /> apply for funding from the Orange County Small Business Loan Pool. <br /> Recommendation: <br /> The Manager recommends that the Board approve and execute the contract. <br />
