The primary purpose of the awards is to educate other counties about the <br /> winning programs so that good ideas can be shared throughout the state. The program categories <br /> include: Human Services, General Government, Environment, and Public Awareness. <br /> The Smart Start Dental Program was one of four programs selected as a recipient from 19 entries in <br /> the Human Services category. Award winners will be honored at the NCACC 1996 Annual <br /> Conference on Saturday,August 24, 1:45 p.m., at the Benton Convention Center, in Winston-Salem. <br /> In addition, winning programs will be featured in the conference issue of County Lines and at a booth <br /> during the conference exhibit show. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the resolution and <br /> authorize the chair to sign. <br />
