124 <br />Appendix <br />Beyond the financial considerations why is this a priority and a significant benefit to Orange County? <br />• Adds much needed recreational services to central and northern Orange County. <br />• There is a significant economic benefit to the County. <br />• Stimulates employment (12 quality full time positions and 30 part time positions). <br />• Promotes an active and healthy lifestyle for Orange County residents of all ages. <br />• Recreation Factory Partners (RFP) is a proven leader in revenue based quality programming. <br />• RFP has high quality proprietary programs ready to roll out. <br />• There is a need for additional regulation sized court space in Orange County. <br />• There is no other publically accessible indoor turf in Orange or immediate neighboring counties. <br />• Indoor turf is complementary to outdoor natural and turfed fields (allows for maintenance down times <br />on grass and turf fields. Provides an alternative venue during bad weather and heat). <br />• RFP will bring programs such as Lil Kickers, Lil Dunkers, Lil Sluggers, Futsol, and Indoor Turf league play <br />not currently available anywhere in the County. <br />• Through family, fun and fitness based play, the Sportsplex makes a highly positive impact in tackling <br />family wellness and childhood obesity. <br />• Provides a wholesome, safe gathering place for youth and adolescents, as well as adults and seniors. <br />• Enhances the image of Orange County as a leader in providing state of the art multi - generational <br />services to its residents. <br />M <br />
