6 , <br /> Attachment-1 <br /> A-6 The appropriation to the Chapel Hill Library was increased by $20,000, bringing <br /> the County's appropriation to the Library from$175,000 to $195,000. <br /> A-7 The Carrboro Library appropriation was increased by $15,000. The increase <br /> reflects $10,000 which will be used to support the Library as it becomes part of <br /> the Orange County Library System. An additional $5,000 is to be used for books <br /> for the library. <br /> Revenue <br /> A-8 To help fund the increases in the Current Expense budget, the Board of <br /> Commissioners increased the Manager's recommended tax rate from 99.0 cents <br /> to 99.75 cents. This additional :75 cents on the tax rate will generate $370,832. <br /> The 1995-96 general tax rate is 94.75 cents. <br /> A-9 The increase in fund balance appropriated helps accomplishes the changes <br /> listed above. The recommended fund balance appropriation increases by <br /> $119,158,bringing the total from $850,000 to $969,158. <br />
