Criteria for making the <br /> F,F awards include the accomplishment and commitment of <br /> the artist, the feasibility of the proposed project and the <br /> impact the project will have on the applicant's career. <br /> Grant Program into This program is open to artists living in Durham, <br /> Chatham,Orange, Granville, and Person counties. To be eligible for an Emerging Artists <br /> Grant, an artist must have lived in one of the five partner counties at least a year, must be 18 <br /> years of age and cannot be a student enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in their <br /> art form. <br /> Applications and guidelines will be available at the link below, and from the Orange County <br /> Arts Commission's website at www.artsorange.org. Her book, <br /> The Teaching Artist Toolbox: Connecting Your Art and the School av <br /> was published by New Village Press, and her books and CD's Music and <br /> Sound:Learning Experiences for the Elementary Classroom, Singing to <br /> Learn:A Multicultural Approach to Early Childhood Curriculum, and World <br /> Games to Sing and Dance in the Classroom and Community are also <br /> available. She wrote the JAM Guide for the North Carolina Arts Council, <br /> outlining programmatic content for cultural music traditions in after-school <br /> programs, and consults on arts based initiatives with schools <br /> internationally. Faye also serves on the North Carolina Arts Council's Arts <br /> in Education Advisory Committee, is a mentor for the Kennedy Center's Artists as Educators seminars, <br /> and is Director of the Arts and Engagement project for Duke University. Faye holds a Bachelor of Music <br /> degree and a Masters in Education. <br />
