J <br /> 3 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF RECOMMENDATION FOR NAMING THE NEW <br /> ORANGE COUNTY SUPERIOR COURTROOM <br /> WHEREAS, a recommendation has been made by the Judicial District 15B Bar as <br /> represented by its President, O. Kenneth Bagwell, Jr.,that the new Superior <br /> Courtroom be named in honor of Judge Gordon F. Battle, Resident Superior Court <br /> Judge for the past twenty years; and <br /> WHEREAS,this recommendation is based on Judge Battle's distinguished record as a <br /> jurist and his exemplary character and ability; and <br /> WHEREAS,the County Manager concurs with this recommendation per County Policy <br /> Number A:0390,Naming of Cou_nri Owned Buildings and Facilities icy; <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED,the Orange County Board of <br /> Commissioners hereby declare the official name of the aforementioned facility be <br /> "Judge Gordon F. Battle Superior Courtroom"by this resolution adopted,this <br /> 19th day of December, 1997. <br /> Margaret W. Brown, Chair <br />
