One family of property owners, the <br /> Thomas and Lela Oliver Heirs, previously submitted a letter of opposition to the <br /> Board of Commissioners. However, no persons at the public hearing spoke in <br /> opposition to the proposed nomination. <br /> The Historic Preservation Commission met on August 27, 1997 to consider the <br /> comments made at the public hearing. They voted unanimously to recommend <br /> forwarding the proposed Cedar Grove Rural Crossroads Historic District <br /> National Register nomination to the State Historic Preservation Office for <br /> review and approval. <br /> On September 16, the Board of Commissioners voted unanimously to forward <br /> the proposed Cedar Grove Rural Crossroads Historic District National Register <br /> nomination to the State Historic Preservation Office for review and approval. <br />
