The additional cost <br />involved could be mitigated somewhat by <br />changing the requirement that mailed <br />notices be sent via certified mail (State <br />Statutes require only First Class mail). <br />The public hearing could be held at any BOCC <br />regular meeting, provided notice requirements <br />could be met <br />OR <br />The process could be written so that <br />rezoning /Class A SUP applications could be <br />heard only at one of the BOCC meetings per <br />month (such as the one held in Hillsborough). <br />Likely at first meeting after the public hearing, <br />to give staff time to prepare necessary <br />documents. <br />
